Deleting a saved thing

Delete from its card

Open the source and choose Delete in the footer. Where the collection menu asks for confirmation, read it and confirm only the item you mean to remove.

Use Undo while it is offered if you change your mind. It is a brief opportunity, not a permanent trash folder you can rely on later.

What changes

Deleting a source removes material that previous answers may reference. A reference in an old answer may no longer open. Download or export the original first if you still need it.

Removing from On my mind is different

Use the shelf's remove action when you only want to stop keeping something nearby. That leaves the source in the collection. Deleting a Space or account affects much more than one source.
