Using search terms and filters

Combine the clues you remember without losing your place.

Keep a search term

Activate the search field to reveal content-type filters underneath. Type a clue. Press Enter to keep it as a removable search chip, then add another clue. Your chips and current words work together.

Choose a type or Space

Select a type when you remember whether it was a picture, document, recording, video, note, or chat. Select it again to clear that type. With no type selected, all types are included.

On Home, the Lately Space cards narrow the view without moving anything. Inside a Space, the workspace stays scoped to that Space and any selected folder.

Change your mind

Remove a chip to drop that clue. With the input empty, Backspace brings the last term back for editing. Clear or Escape resets the search controls; Escape again leaves the field. Searching doesn't change the composer's selected context.
