Reading and editing a note

Change your saved words and see when the change has been saved.

Open the note

  1. Open the card of a note you wrote in KayBi. Uploaded text and Markdown files open as source files and are not editable in this note editor.
  2. Edit the words in the note reader. Headings, lists, to-dos and highlights work as they do in a new note, and the corner button opens the note in focus mode.
  3. In the note reader, choose Save or press Ctrl+Enter or Command+Enter. In focus mode, changes to a saved note save automatically after you pause. Wait for the saved confirmation.

Leaving with changes

Escape leaves focus mode and returns to the reader with your words intact. If a save failed, retry or resolve the conflict there. Closing the reader with unsaved edits asks you to keep editing or discard them. Open its card takes you to the full source view; finish your edit before switching.

If the note changed elsewhere

KayBi shows a conflict instead of silently replacing the other version. Read the newest words, copy anything you need, and combine them with your draft before choosing Save my words. A failed save is not a saved revision.
