Opening & sharing

Sharing one thing with a link

Let someone open a source without giving them your collection.

1 min read

Create the link

  1. Open a ready source card and choose Share for 24 hours.
  2. Copy the link when it is created. If copying did not work, use the visible link field.
  3. Check its expiry before sending it to someone.

What the recipient can see

Anyone with the link can open that shared thing until the link expires or you stop it. Treat the link as access to that content. It doesn't share the rest of your collection or turn the Space into a collaborative workspace.

The source sharing control is for ready non-chat sources. Don't assume that a chat, Space, or entire collection can be shared in the same way.

Stop or replace a link

Return to the source's Share section to stop sharing or create a replacement. The original link is only shown when it is made; if you didn't keep it, use the replacement action. Replacing or stopping a link changes its access, so tell a recipient if they still need the source.
