Using folders inside a Space
Add another level when a Space needs it.
1 min readCreate a folder
Open a Space and use its folder action, or open Space settings → Folders. Enter a folder name and create it. Where a parent selector is offered, No parent places it at the top level.
Browse and add within a folder
Choose a folder to narrow the Space's collection. The current folder is a browsing scope, not a separate Space. Choose Everything to leave that folder view.
When adding material, check the destination shown by the upload or note flow. Changing a folder view doesn't move existing files.
Rename, move, or remove a folder
Space settings → Folders provides the folder name and parent controls, with save and delete actions. Use an item's Move to Folder action where offered to relocate it; No folder leaves it directly in its Space.
Deleting a folder leaves its sources unfiled in the same Space. Its direct subfolders move to its parent. Deleting a Space is a separate, much broader action.
